THE HOUSE is located in LA FERTE MILON, the Jean Racine native Village. In former times, it was a coaching house and later an artist’s home with huge window to collect light. It was recently a family house used mainly at the week ends. There are oaks beams and a fire place, however it is simple. There are three levels, six bedrooms, two bathrooms, a salon and a kitchen, an office and "workshop"... The garden is very large, with flowers and shady trees. THE HOUSE IS IDEAL FOR FAMILIES with children and adolescents: several bikes are available for adults and kids (with also a baby-seat), there is a large game room with toys and ping pong table, the playground is equipped with swings, there is outdoor to discover (small brook in the backyard)... In summer, you can drive to Ciry-sur-Salsogne lac for swimming or having fun nearby (30mn or 40Km). THE HOUSE IS IDEAL FOR TOURISM. La Ferte Milon is an historical village. The village is crossed by the "Canal de l'Ourcq". People can walk through the village arround the Lock, the Mill and the Island ; a Path along the canal offers a fine walking or cycling. Don't miss the old village, its Castel, Churchs and J. Racine small museum. Don't miss few kilometers further the "Château de Pierrefonds", restored by Violet le Duc and the "Château de Compiègne" (Napoleon I & III museum). Don't miss the CHAMPAGNE VINE ROUTE begining in Château-Thierry. Don't miss the Retz Forest and Compiègne Forest. Don't miss also the Rethondes Glade where the Armistice of the World War One was signed., etc. (Details are in our WEB SITE)
